Children's Activity By British Council, Mumbai

The British Council Libraries organise and host a wide range of events throughout the year, keeping you informed, updated or entertained.


Programme : The Reading Voyage

The Event :

The Reading Voyage challenges children to read at least six books. Participants will also get a chance to attend linked creative workshops and activities at the British Council Library. At the end of the Reading Voyage, on 7 January 2006, they will get a medal and a certificate recording their achievement, if they have completed the challenge.

About the Event

About the Event

This interactive workshop by Dr. Kala Parasuram, Education Consultant will explore interesting and creative ways of developing stories. Children will go through movement activities, mind-mapping exercises, theme and idea expansion – all of which will be used to make them creative story writers! Participants are requested to bring a box of crayons, sketch pens, a notebook and ONE story book that they have not read before

About the Event

This workshop by Dr Coomi Vevaina Reader, Dept of English, Mumbai University and Michelle Philip, Head, Dept of English, Wilson College, Mumbai. This will be an interactive session which involves dramatising narrative poems, ''Whiz Quiz'' based on stories and the creation of stories by children. The participants are expected to bring along a story of their choice.
